Emerson Swan represents the finest manufacturers in the plumbing industry. A successful candidate will have the ability to understand and communicate the technical, organizational and customer service needs of each client and assist the customer by introducing the appropriate products/services aligned with the customer needs. In doing so, the OSR must maintain up-to-date understanding of target markets and the technical and industry trends associated. The OSR will support ES marketing programs. The OSR position focus is to maintain a strong customer base while seeking market opportunity to increase overall company profitability. Position will report to the Vice President of plumbing products.

Essential Responsibilities:

Determine market strategies for short and long term goals projections.
Evaluate product and service marketability as they align with customers technical and service needs.
Establish on-going communication routines with customer base.
Establish strong working relationship with all levels of customer base.
Establish industry contacts that may produce sales leads.
Respond to sales leads.
Make cold calls on potential customers.
Represent Emerson Swan at all trade events, as needed.
Travel with Emerson Swan vendors and wholesaler sales staff.
Provide expert training to customers for knowledge and understanding of products and systems and introduction of all products
Resolve problems with customer satisfaction.
Provide sales reports.
Prepare sales forecasting reports.
Close sales.


Bachelors degree in business, marketing, engineering or related field.
Five years minimum work experience in sales or target market industries.
Demonstrated communication skills in client presentation and report writing.
Ability to travel
Ability to work as a team member
Must be proficient in Microsoft office.
Must be able to learn and be proficient in manufacturers software for related job functions.
