About the Position
We are looking for an experienced sales executive for our Senior Living 100 (SL 100) Conference, an annual strategic retreat for leaders of large assisted living and retirement home companies. SL 100 is virtually the ONLY national venue where CEOs can come, share best practices and participate in an unsurpassed education program which helps them to see the future. In this vertical sector, it is analogous to a Davos meeting. We have successfully launched similar 100 conferences in the long term care and home health markets, and we expect SL 100 to follow this same course. In its 4th year, there is considerable growth potential.

Your prospective clients will be on the supplier sales side, VP and C-level executives at leading product and service companies who are eager to build their market share. We offer them unsurpassed access to these C-level healthcare providers who are extremely hard to get in front of otherwise, hence their desire to consider sponsoring. You will have full responsibility for driving the top line for these sales. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into the growing healthcare market.

Skills & Characteristics Desired:

Smart and consultative - We are selling packages to suppliers that average $30K. Their average annual sale to providers is in excess of $250K, a powerful ROI. So these, in addition to their exclusive access to these CEOs, are compelling reasons to buy. The best sales people at Lincoln master an understanding of our suppliers' businesses and can convince them of the soundness of this investment.

Self directed - We of course have sales management, but the best sales people here have an internal drive and sense of prioritization and do not need to be told what to do.

Competitive Its not always easy to reach sales goals and we prefer the candidate who is internally motivated to hit those goals. A competitive fire or inner determination is present in you.

Polished and well spoken - We are offering suppliers a roster of very valuable CEOs who are drawn to our conferences for the quality of education, of other attendees, and of the resort experience. Our sales people represent this same level of quality - you are professional, articulate, and polished.

Combination "hunter"/"farmer" - You are capable of both. As SL 100 is in its formative years, it pays to be a hunter, since we need new clients. Over time, your book of business will become heavily renewal (75%) so farming matters too. Farming is easy here, in a sense, as we have many benefits to be able to deliver to our clients. But the inclination to be a "champion of the client" must be present in you to deliver these benefits to them.

Travel - Able to travel 20-30%.


Experience
College degree preferred
Minimum 5 years B2B sales experience, preferably selling intangibles/services at mid- to high level price points.
Events, financial services, media or lead generation sales experience a plus.
Candidates with recruiting, research or consulting backgrounds would have transferable skills.
