Regional Director - Sales (Los Angeles or San Francisco)

Absolute Software is currently looking for a results driven, self-motivated REGIONAL DIRECTOR. This is a management-level resource in place to execute the company sales plan and help drive success in our West sales region. The RD manages a team of field based Account Executives in the West region. The field based Account Executives are focused on driving new business development in the security space with a particular focus on Corporate and Healthcare accounts but can sell to anyone.
All our Regional Directors reports to the Vice President of Sales for North America. Based in your home office, the Regional Director serves two key functions; first as a leader for the field Account Executives to primarily generate revenue in a defined territory and second, as a management partner for the OEM and VAR teams.

Accountabilities will include:
Drive business The RD works with their peers to implement and execute the company sales plan, and is responsible for leveraging sales assets to drive and grow net/new sales.
Management partner The RD will work to understand each regions business strategies and supporting activities required from each of their direct reports. The RD drives those activities in their territory and manages issues as they relate to lack of execution and sales productivity.
Drive customer satisfaction The RD gains a deep understanding of our large prospects requirements and need of our products, while managing a team of 6-10 sales account executes helping them to work with their available resources to deliver high levels of customer engagement ultimately resulting in a sale.

Interdepartmental Leadership - The RD will provide leadership and an escalation path for AEs to other departments. He/she will also serve as a contact point if issues arise between department members.
Share communications between AEs and across regions The RD will manage a weekly meeting in which AEs can share experiences, get updates from other departments, discuss issues gleaned from peers and identify selling issues and concerns so the RD can potentially spot trends across the business and escalate. The RD leads meetings and is committed to keeping those meetings relevant and on point.
Share communications across departments - the RD will have a quarterly business review with the VP of sales. This will help bridge communication gaps between Sales and other company departments. At a minimum, the RD will present the QTD sales data, and with it, the RD will present a snapshot of our sales by region, by product, etc. The RD may also use the Sales forecast to provide insight into short-term and long-term future business. Considering there may be other relevant topics that surface, the RD can dynamically work them into the agenda as required.
Champion for our systems - The RD will take responsibility for driving usage of our CRM tools across their teams and other KPIs as identified.


What youll need:

A College Degree
A proven track record of 5 to 7 years of successful sales management, preferably managing a field sales team
Experience in the technology, security or saas industry, preferably in software or services
The ability to negotiate long-term license agreements directly with customers or through our partners
Experience using Microsoft Office
Highly organized with a burning desire to win.

The ability to achieve goals through others.
