DMC is based in Boston with approximately 40 employees and experiencing rapid growth. Today, member school districts of DMC serve more than 4.5 million students across 34 states. The District Management Council prides itself on its high rate of client satisfaction and success.

Key Responsibilities
The Director, Client Development will be responsible for new business and sales efforts across four tiers of services, with primary focus on Performance Solutions and Research Projects.

Primary focus
Performance Solutions: engagements that are characterized by a well-defined scope and deliverables, designed to maximize sustainability, scalability, and impact.
Research Projects: engagements that consist of well-defined efforts such as program evaluations and grant proposals.

Secondary focus
Bespoke Management Consulting: engagements that are tailored to new specific issues and opportunities at an individual client level.
Membership: an opportunity for districts to access our growing knowledge and experience base, attend our events, and form collaborative relationships with other districts in order to address the toughest management challenges.

The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a top performing Director, Client Development with the passion, experience and conviction to effectively develop new business and sales efforts across the firm. The ideal candidate will be a high-energy, team-oriented, client-driven problem solver with prior solutions sales experience. Listed below are the minimum requirements for the role:

Has K-12 Education sector experience particularly in public school central office.
Identifies key decision makers and determines the service(s) that will meet our clients most pressing concerns.
Develops influential relationships at the most senior level, including the superintendent and other key members of districts leadership teams.
Demonstrates a passion and drive to deliver tangible business results.
Establishes credibility to effectively work across the firm to help drive significant growth.

Bachelors degree (required)
