What is the job about?
We are looking for a Technical Sales Manager for our chemical feed/injection systems – DSS (Dosing Skids Systems). This role is part of our Industry Americas sales team and will be supporting customers in the USA and Canada.



As a DSS Technical Sales Manager, you will serve as a sales specialist for DSS products and applications. You will work closely with Operations, Project Managers, sales colleagues, distributors, OEMs, end users, and engineers to drive and help execute sales of DSS.


This role can be done remotely from any location within the US, but preferably working hybrid out of our Lenexa, KS office. Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.


Your main responsibilities:

  • Provide higher level of technical support on DSS products and applications.
  • Demonstrate the DSS value proposition to key stakeholders throughout the channel to the market.
  • Be a top technical resource for the Industry District Sales Managers, OEM Account managers, and Strategic Account Managers. Train our sales team and help them train their channel partners and customers.
  • Gather valuable market intelligence and provide meaningful input to Business Development and Development & Engineering teams.
  • Be the owner of new product sales releases. Produce content for launch binders.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineering personnel, product managers, project managers, sales leaders, and support staff. Maintain and leverage relationships across performance units and functions.
  • Make field sales calls in-person as large opportunities arise. Provide field support, service, and troubleshoot problems.
  • Drive certain new product introductions, e.g. Grundfos ChemPairing Suite and new DSS variants.

Your background
We imagine that you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Chemistry, or a Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a technical sales, engineering, or project management environment.
  • Exhibit strong knowledge of best practices in relevant systems, local laws, and regulations where applicable.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to use independent judgement to accomplish objectives.
  • An understanding of chemistry, chemical feed pumps, applications, and water treatment processes.
  • The ability and comfort with public speaking, presenting to large audiences of engineers and other technical stakeholders.
  • The ability to analyze and understand complex industrial plant processes.
  • The ability to support end users.
  • An understanding of pumping and hydraulics and typical applications is a plus.
  • Capability to quickly troubleshoot complex problems and identify the right solutions.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to train both internal sales colleagues and customers.
