The Account Management team is responsible for business development as well as ongoing client management, with a focus being on finding the right long-term partners for The Larkin Company. We work to build strong relationships with our clients starting during the sales process and continuing throughout the partnership. We partner with every other team at The Larkin Company to effectively support our clients and their evolving needs.
The Role (Expectations)
The ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate an appreciation for outstanding collaboration and would then share that passion here. This along with strong communication skills, organized work habits, open- mindedness and with a strong attention to detail. They should be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced work environment, and also able to contribute to The Larkin Company team, by being a friendly, helpful, and valued team member. We’re looking for someone who desires to learn and has strong research skills with an exceptional ability to read, interpret, and execute team projects. We want someone who will not only work with the Account Management team to quickly support initiatives but work collaboratively with other internal teams to solve issues. In addition, we would expect them to participate in other company activities and projects to help grow the company and therefore creating broader success for themselves and their colleagues.
Job Duties and Essential Functions:
With support and direction from Manager, Account Management:

  • Attend meetings either remotely or in person
  • Draft meeting summaries to capture all decisions and action items
  • Finalize meeting summaries in a timely manner, typically one business day
  • Maintain updates to internal resources, such as but not limited to: training guides (Guru), team SharePoint with client related news updates, SAM access for team, saving documents to L Drive, and Larkin’s client list
  • Review and maintain all team trackers and logs and keep team Directors informed of updates
  • Maintain updates to external client resources such as contact sheets
  • Report on metrics and progress reports on initiatives Directors want to track (i.e., onsite visits to clients, CRM utilization and real time updates)
  • Manage the web inquiry alias and filter communications to the team including pricing and sales inquiries, as well as general inquiries
  • Communicate administrator and lead changes to the appropriate Account Manager
  • Gather Account Management related newsletter updates and provide to People and Culture
  • Maintain the Account Management Team Calendar
  • Create and update client visual aids and develop new visuals as needed
  • Create presentation decks for internal or external use
  • Facilitate and send communications on behalf of the team
  • Offer to support colleagues when faced with discretionary time
  • Coordinates travel for the department including airfare, hotels, rental cars and train reservations
  • Coordinate meetings including space planning and meals, if applicable
  • Coordinate social events (Welcome lunches, regular events, spotlights)
  • Coordinate schedules and send meeting and event invites on behalf of the team and as directed by management
  • Complete expense reports for department
  • Complete research as needed
  • Provide additional support to the CEO as directed by Director of Account Management and CEO

When this role is being performed at a high level, the Account Management Assistant will be viewed as a supportive colleague.
Extensive training on FMLA, CFRA, CA PDL, ADAAA, FEHA and other state laws pertaining to leave and ADA administration is a part of the onboarding process.
Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience is required
  • Strong passion for providing excellent customer service
  • Willingness to learn and a positive attitude
  • Excellent organizational, quantitative, and verbal/written communications skills.
  • Proven excellent verbal/written communications skills including active listening and the ability to ask helpful questions
  • Interest in presenting
  • Ability to manage their work across a variety of needs and deadlines
  • Excellent follow through in a timely manner
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
  • Ability to comprehend, edit, and use a variety of informational documents including but not limited to online resources and client policies

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work closely with vendors, fellow team members, managers, and others regardless of team or level
  • Ability to travel (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,500.00 - $58,000.00 per year
