The Inside Sales Representative is primarily responsible for qualifying and creating sales appointments for Avantis’ business development managers, new client opportunities across a defined Targeted Audience both warm and cold leads. This role is responsible for identifying and managing sales opportunities, building an understanding of client business needs and drivers to position how Avanits’ products and services can benefit the schools and their students.

Sales Skills:

  • Conduct basic company/contact research, using CRM, internal data and the internet as appropriate. Manage sales activities, including administration effectively. Good level of numeracy and literacy
  • Be able to mine databases to produce a targeted prospect list
  • Communicate in a courteous and professional manner using appropriate language, both written and verbal. Listen with intent and effectively respond to internal and external customer needs, via telephone-based communication.
  • Able to question effectively to gain a deeper understanding of customer needs to identify up-selling opportunities for a sales person
  • Record key customer data in a standardized and consistent manner and accurately record sales and order information in CRM
  • Effectively schedule customer contacts, proactively manage leads and opportunities
  • Accurately use rate card/price calculator
  • Use relevant case studies, testimonials and ROI for achieving transactional sale
  • Manage all appointments until they successfully take place

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • Degree level, equivalent education or proven experience of sustained over achievement in a sales environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of significantly exceeding targets and expectations
  • Proven ability in closing business to business sales and winning new customers
  • Excellent sales, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Demonstrable self-sufficiency in sales activities
  • Entrepreneurial relationship and business development skills
  • Ability to successfully encourage the customers to expand product range
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Clear understanding of modern selling techniques and ability to use them
  • Experience of working in a KPI driven environment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $33,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
