In this role you will be responsible for the development of all cost proposals and maintenance of material indexing agreements related to Seating Integration Systems, Resale, New Product (TBD), Mesh and Net programs. Also, in a secondary capacity, aids and abates these same efforts in Braid, Wire Carrier, and Pile product lines. Interacts with all manufacturing facilities, accounting, quality, engineering, program management and account management to establish timely quote responses to customer requests.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzes and prepares all customer request for quotation (RFQs) packages for new business or engineering change related requirements and develops costing on all components contained within the package. Consults closely with R & D Engineering, Manufacturing, Accounting, Quality and Purchasing personnel, and known current costs to establish required cost data. Compares final quotation results to known market price data for like products.
  • Verifies accuracy and finalizes quote packages. Presents the information to senior management for approval.
  • Supports and justifies cost/pricing structure to the customer as required with the coordination of the Program Manager.
  • Provides purchasing with Target Cost Goals, drawings, customer or internal material specifications and potential sourcing as needed.
  • Provides expert oversight and serves as a liaison between Sales, Engineering, Customer Service, Quality depts. and the manufacturing facilities. Provides support and assists in managing worldwide quoting activities for all Seating Integration Systems, Resale, Mesh, and Net quotes.
  • Verifies Purchase Orders in conjunction to customer quotes and sales agreements and materials indexing contracts.
  • Monitors and tracks customer long term agreements (LTA’s), material indexing agreements, product lifecycles for potential requoting and customer compliance to contracts and related business.
  • Keeps accurate price lists by customer and assists with annual sales budgeting and monthly sales forecasting.
  • Works in conjunction with engineering and sales personnel in providing technical assistance to customers with product development inclusive of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Understand production capacity related to both capital requirements and workforce utilization, production times.
  • Aids research for new products, product enhancements and new product design.
  • Aids evaluation of new product development feasibility, practicality, and potential to reach fruition.
  • Performs other duties as assigned under the discretion of the Sr. V.P. of Sales.
  • Travel will be required as is safe. Travel to customers alone or with sales reps will occur as required with the focus on necessary sales growth.
  • Overall awareness and understanding that Hope Global operates within the EMS 14001 & QMS 16949 management systems.
  • Additional training over the course of the employee's tenure will be given as needed or required and in accordance with the criteria specified in ESP7.2/QSP 7.2.1Training Awareness and Competence.
  • Remote work possible for up to 2 days per week

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Quality or Science related field.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a Sales Analyst role; Customer Service, or related field.
  • Previous experience working within a Manufacturing environment preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Microsoft Office with advanced Excel experience.
  • Demonstrated blueprint/drawing reading skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

PHYSICAL DEMAND/WORKING CONDITIONS:

The position requires the incumbent to work in a variety of positions (mainly sitting and standing) to perform work. The work is performed in a variety of settings which include office, plant, and travel to customer’s manufacturing facility and office. Conditions will vary depending upon location, including heat, noise, congestion, etc. The position does not require any lifting, bending, or stooping of any kind.
