What is Landmark Selling?

As the e-commerce space continues to grow by double digits (%) on an annual basis, companies are faced with major decisions, including the delivery options they offer their customers, duty and tax strategy, and where/how to fulfill orders. Companies are bombarded by a variety of service providers offering varied solutions. Where Landmark fits into this space is by offering a blend of service and price and a consistent experience to end consumers. At a basic level, we are enabling companies to move shipments from point A to point B and while there is a great deal of complexity behind our solutions, we want the logistics to be invisible to our clients so that they can focus on their products, messaging and customers. How Landmark is able to provide this offering to our customers is by leveraging the below advantages:

  • A robust carrier network (USPS, FedEx, DHL, Canada Post, UPS, and many more etc) with numerous shipping options.
  • Cost efficiencies that we share with our clients, based on the routings within our network and the large volumes we give to our carriers.
  • In-house customs department that manages clearance and provides input on duty and tax strategy.
  • A global warehouse footprint to manage delivery, returns and fulfillment.
  • A property web-based TMS (transportation management system) and WMS (warehouse management system), Mercury. Our platform has been refined based on the foundations of our logistics expertise and client feedback. In addition, we have integrated with a large number of other platforms / systems and have developed a highly streamlined integration process.

Position Summary & Job Description

We are currently seeking a Business Development Executive to acquire new business accounts by partnering with clients to design, develop, and implement customized international transportation and logistics solutions. This individual works directly with the Senior Manager, Field Sales and will also be responsible for client account maintenance and regular client business reviews. Core responsibilities will include the following:

  • Drive new business revenue by building enterprise relationships with US shippers desiring superior supply chain logistics to/within international markets.
  • Identify and pursue potential clients shipping to key international markets and articulate the Landmark Global value proposition to bring accounts to closure.
  • Develop comprehensive business relationships with key decision makers, influencers and stakeholders.
  • Serve as an expert in the challenges and opportunities of international package logistics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree or above - although equivalent industry sales experience will also be considered.
  • At least 5 years of business development experience selling business services to other businesses (B2B). Strategic selling or sales experience in logistics / transportation / e-commerce space is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations.
  • International business experience in any form is a plus.
  • Must have previous experience in a consultative, complex solutions sales environment.
  • Experience within e-commerce/shipping platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, Shipstation, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of a general suite of computer applications.

Position Pay Range

  • $90,000 to $100,000 per year based on experience and other factors
  • Position eligible for annual bonus plan based on percetange of annual salary
